The rugged Northwest Mountains are home to the huckleberries found in our tasty jams and toppings. Here in the Northwest, Wildbeary makes spreads using only wild huckleberries, hand picked at their peak of ripe-ness. Our jams and toppings, like all products of Wildbeary, are carefully made in small batches to insure the wonderful taste of original recipes.
Jelly: Jelly at its best is sparkling and clear. It quivers slightly when you turn it out in a dish, but holds its shape. Our jelly is tender and spreads easily. For a change from cranberry sauce, try it with a roasted chicken or turkey dinner.
Pepper Jelly: This spicy pepper jelly is for the adventurous palate! We enjoy using it as a glaze on pork and chicken, as a topping for brie cheese or cream cheese, and as a wonderful addition to turkey sandwiches!
Huckleberry Mixer:
Our huckleberry mixer is versatile and can be used in many different ways. Use in your favorite daiquiri or margarita, in slushies and smoothies. Special fruit desserts are made easy with our mixer.
Huckleberry Lemonade Concentrate:
Tart and tangy, this is a winning combination of fresh huckleberry juice and lemon juice. We make the concentrate, and all you do is add two parts water to 1 part of our concentrate! Try this over ice, as a cool and refreshing summer drink: add to sparkling wine or champagne for a wonderful punch or “sparkler” for special occasions. Or, add it to apple cider along with cinnamon and cloves for a very tummy warming winter drink!
Marmalade:Wildbeary marmalade is an adaptation of the authentic English original recipe for marmalade that has been passed down in the family for years. We have combined fresh oranges and lemons with our wild mountain huckleberries to make this tart, tangy, succulent spread. It is especially tasty over a hot English muffin or fresh scones for afternoon tea.
Sweetened with Fruit Jam:
Our huckleberry jam is sweetened with fruit juice, not with sugar. This is "friendlier" for people with blood sugar problems. It's the same delicious taste as our regular jam.
We make a delcious sweet and sour sauce and will soon be announcing our long awaited barbcue sauce. Watch for this product around the 1st of June, 2004!
This semi-dried huckleberry is sold in a snack package--it can be eaten alone, or added to trail mix, granola, or oatmeal. Let your imagination be your guide.
